What (Who) Do You Crave?

Sunday morning I preached from Psalm 42 and 43. This text was both refreshing and convicting for me personally. The Psalmist is so passionate and aggressive in his pursuit of God.

He begins Psalm 42 like this: "As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God" (ESV).

Ask yourself, "Does this speak true of me today?" Are you chasing after other things, or are you finding yourself fully satisfied as you feast upon the living God? Is seeking him a daily battle you engage in?

Focus your cravings upon God and see if you find him to be as delightful as the Psalmist did. I think you will find that He is worth pursuing each day!
